How to Build a Dream X.16, Čerčany
Picture a little house near the cemetery in Čerčany. It was here, during the hot days of early summer, that we shot another episode of How to Build a Dream. By connecting the original two rooms we created one big room with views of the open countryside. We designed the interior in the French La Provence style retaining the original wooden floor.
The authentic decorations came from Ma Maison in Dlouhá Street. Then all we had to do was find wallpaper with a motif of peeling paint on old plaster and the right colour, which was definitely light green. Although the name of the colour is French grey and is manufactured by the English firm Farrow & Ball, only somebody who is particular about such things would worry about this detail, someone who believes a cup should not be repaired and a string of onions or a small bouquet of lavender left on the kitchen counter is a terrible mess.
