A simple rule applies to the design of any bedroom. Less is more. Fewer objects and less disturbance to be more specific. It doesn't matter whether your bedroom is modern or in La Provence style. We should always follow this rule. You will sleep better.
Then there are plenty of other recommendations. Place the bed with the longer side running north south, and place your head towards heavier structures, and feet towards the door. All other items, including canopies and decorations are already matters of taste. Of course we recommend you work with soothing colours, textiles that moderate acoustic levels, and a high quality health mattress.
